One partner across your whole data lifecycle
Our services are a single ladder a Dynamics organisation climbs, from the first assessment to a data estate we run for you. We provide the BI consulting, data strategy, build and managed-service capability across Power BI, the data warehouse and Microsoft Fabric, as one team rather than four suppliers.
Dynamics-native since 2002·customers in 20+ countries across 4 continents·independent, cross-platform BI and data consulting under one roof.
What does a data and BI consultancy for Dynamics actually do?
It takes an organisation from a data estate it cannot trust to one it can, and then keeps it that way. In practice that is business intelligence consulting, data strategy and advisory, the build of the platform, warehouse and reporting, and a managed service to run the result. We do all of it for Dynamics 365, and we do it as one accountable team so the seams are ours to own.
Most organisations stitch this together from several suppliers: an ERP partner who bolted a lake on, a BI contractor who left, a platform reseller with a quota. The joins between them are where the numbers stop agreeing. A single practice across the whole lifecycle removes the joins, which is the point of engaging one.
Foundations, run, optimise, advise, innovate
Every engagement sits on one of five rungs, and you climb them at your own pace: lay the foundations, run and manage them, optimise what is running, advise on where to go next, then innovate on top. You never commit further up the ladder than the value you have already seen.
-
Foundations.
The platform, the reconciled data warehouse and the core reporting, designed and built to a standard rather than assembled. This is where a trustworthy estate is made, or where a broken one is put right.
-
Run and managed.
A managed service that owns the day-to-day: the refreshes, the capacity, the access model, the fixes. The recurring anchor everything else converts toward, and the reason a stretched internal team stops being the single point of failure.
-
Optimise.
Performance, cost and trust tuned on what is already live: models that fall back, refreshes that cost too much, reports nobody trusts. Small, evidence-led improvements to a running estate.
-
Advise.
Data strategy, roadmap, platform selection and build-versus-buy, delivered as decision-grade advice rather than a deck. Where should this estate go, in what order, and what will it cost.
-
Innovate.
Once the foundation is trustworthy, the things the board is asking for: Microsoft Fabric, Copilot and AI readiness, advanced analytics, all built on data clean and governed enough to trust the answers.
Most organisations enter at Foundations or Advise, and the ones that stay longest end up on the Run rung, because a data estate that is run does not decay.
Data strategy consulting, grounded in your Dynamics estate
Our data strategy consulting answers three questions for a Dynamics organisation: what does a trustworthy data estate look like for you, in what order should it be built, and what will it cost to run once it exists. It is advice you can take to a board, not a generic maturity model, because it is grounded in how your legal entities, your ERP and your reporting actually work.
The advisory work is deliberately independent. We hold no licence quota and no platform to defend, so when we recommend Fabric over an alternative, a pre-built foundation over a bespoke build, or doing nothing yet, the reason is the evidence and not our margin. That independence is the whole value of an advisory engagement, and it is why the assessment can honestly conclude that you are not ready.
The lowest-commitment way in. The Reporting Trust Assessment is a fixed-scope diagnostic that names where your data stands and what it would take to fix, with the cost shown before you commit. Most engagements start there.
A managed data and BI service, so your estate does not decay
The single most valuable thing we do is run the estate after it is built. A data platform nobody owns drifts: refreshes fail quietly, capacity costs creep, access sprawls, and trust erodes one unexplained number at a time. A managed service puts a named team behind the run-state, so the reporting stays fast, the platform stays affordable and the numbers stay reconciled.
It is the rung everything else converts toward, and the reason our client relationships run for years rather than a single project. You are not buying a burst of project effort. You are buying the assurance that the estate keeps working.
See managed BI for Dynamics 365The same lifecycle, across four surfaces
The ladder is cross-platform, but the work lands on a specific surface. Pick the one that matches where your problem is, and the lifecycle, diagnose, build, run, applies within it.
- Power BI. Reporting and dashboards that reconcile to Dynamics, from health-check to managed BI. Power BI consultants
- Data warehouse. The reconciled, consolidated group figure, modelled and run. Data warehouse
- Microsoft Fabric. The platform, made predictable to pay for and safe to open up. Microsoft Fabric
- Business intelligence. Platform-agnostic BI consulting where the outcome comes before the tool. Business intelligence
Within Power BI, the individual engagements, the reporting health-check, the build, and advisory and governance, each own their step of the ladder.
One accountable team, not four suppliers
The reason to engage a single lifecycle partner is that the failures live in the handoffs. When the platform team, the modelling team and the reporting team are the same team, there is nobody to blame the layer below, and the number that comes out at the top is one somebody owns end to end.
- Dynamics-native since 2002. The whole ladder, delivered by people who have done nothing but Dynamics data for two decades.
- Independent. No vendor quota, no resale target. The strategy advice and the platform choice are yours, not a margin we are protecting.
- Cross-platform under one roof. Power BI, data warehouse, Fabric and BI, run as one practice, so the seams are ours.
- Built to be run, not just delivered. The managed rung means the estate keeps working long after the build is signed off.
The evidence sits on our proof.
Services: common questions
What is the difference between your services and hiring an ERP partner?
An ERP partner implements and runs Dynamics 365 itself. We are the data and analytics layer above it: the platform your data lands on, the reconciled model that makes your figures agree, and the reporting your team trusts. The two are complementary. We work alongside your ERP partner, not against them, and are often a referral partner to them, because a governed data estate built after go-live is a different discipline from the implementation.
Do we have to take the whole lifecycle, or can we buy one piece?
One piece is normal. Most organisations enter at a single rung, a broken report, a retiring pipe, a consolidation that will not tie out, and we start there. The ladder exists so you can climb at your own pace, and you never commit further than the value you have already seen. Many clients only ever want the Foundations and the Run rungs, and that is a complete engagement.
What is data strategy consulting, in your terms?
Decision-grade advice on what a trustworthy data estate looks like for your organisation, in what order to build it, and what it will cost to run. It is grounded in your actual Dynamics estate, your legal entities and your reporting, not a generic maturity model, and it is delivered independently, so the recommendation is the one the evidence supports rather than the one that suits a vendor.
How does an engagement start, and what does it cost?
Most start with a fixed-scope assessment, usually the Reporting Trust Assessment, which names where your data stands and what a fix would take, with the cost shown before you commit. From there each rung of the ladder is scoped and priced transparently, so you always see the shape and the cost before you decide anything.
Find the right rung to start on
Not sure whether you need foundations, a run-state, or just advice on what to do next? The Reporting Trust Assessment names where your data actually stands and what the right first step is, before you spend anything.
Or tell us what you are trying to fix and we will point you to the right rung of the ladder, and the right person, with the cost shown before you commit.
