At Every Step of the Way
The PrecisionPoint Business Warehouse is a robust data warehouse process that follows the logic of the Dynamics ERP system in sequential steps to create an optimized reporting and analysis platform. At each critical process step, the PrecisionPoint Business Warehouse inserts a check to insure complete accuracy. When access is made and a transaction table is extracted, a record count is performed and compared to the originating files.
Processing times and other vital diagnostic information are captured and closely monitored by our support team. When the business warehouse is complete, a reconciliation and validation check is made between all transactions and the key Dynamics ERP summary consolidation levels to ensure that the PrecisionPoint Business Warehouse fully balances with the supporting ledgers. AT NO TIME IS ANY FINANCIAL DATA TRANSMITTED in the remote diagnostic routines.
At both initiation and completion of each update, a software agent communicates back to PrecisionPoint Software Service Center the status of each step. When all the checks are complete and the PrecisionPoint software then updates the business warehouse.

If at anytime a process does not finish to completion, for example a key ERP table is in a “locked” state, a detailed diagnostic message is written and emailed. If the table and record count is correct, but there are non-reconciled results at an aggregate level, another diagnostic agent goes into action sending an automated message to the support team providing full details of the process in question with any error messages and description. The PrecisionPoint support center has access to all the diagnostic information so issues can be pinpointed quickly and resolved.
