RAGASCO replaces existing BI solution with Precisionpoint bW
for Microsoft Dynamics NAV
Norwegian manufacturer to replace NEMO and several IT-developed reports with business-user driven reporting and analysis based on familiar Microsoft Office tools
London, UK and Waltham, MA (April 15, 2008) – PrecisionPoint Software today announced that Ragasco AS, a Norwegian manufacturer of composite gas cylinders, has ordered Business Warehouse for Dynamics NAV. PrecisionPoint Business Warehouse will replace Maritech’s NEMO BI tool and a number of IT-developed reports. Business information and reports will now be created and controlled by the users.
“We uploaded our Dynamics NAV database to PrecisionPoint and within 24 hours they were able to show us our Dynamics NAV data in the reports and analytical views that I have been trying to get for the last 3 years.” said Tom Madsen, CFO at Ragasco. “Our users will now be creating their own reports in Excel which can then be shared around the company via SharePoint Server as static or dynamic web reports.”
PrecisionPoint Business Warehouse extends the data access, analysis and reporting capabilities of the existing ERP implementation to non-technical users such as CFOs, controllers, accountants and business analysts in sales and operations. PrecisionPoint BW leverages all of Microsoft’s key BI technologies including Microsoft® Office 2007™, Microsoft® SQL Server 2005™, PerformancePoint™, Reporting Services and SharePoint.
